MIHWA are thrilled to announce after an agonising wait we can confirm that the venue for the 2024 Masters, Vets and Legends World Cup is Jaca, where we will play in the fantastic “Pabellon de Hielo de Jaca”. (www.pabellondeheilojaca.com). This amazing, modern structure was the home of IIHF events, and is located in the heart of Inline Hockey for Spain. The region of Aragon is known for its love of sport, being nestled in the central Pyrenees Mountains, just a couple hours north of Barcelona. The venue is newly built, and contains all the necessary infrastructure to host our competition. MIHWA wishes to congratulate David Ninzatti and Christian Mader for their hard work in securing this venue, after such an exhaustive and difficult time finding the right host for our next playoff. Finding the right place is a daunting task, although many venues exist. Deciding on their suitability, availability, cost and other critical factors makes for a nearly impossible job. This is especially so now considering our size, as the largest international Inline Hockey tournament in the world, involving over 100 games in only 6 days, not just any old rink will do. And of course, for the best players, we must offer the best venues! We are confident that Jaca will meet or exceed all of our hopes and expectations, and that we can collaborate with the local, highly experienced team, and deliver another outstanding event. We are still confirming the dates that work best for all concerned, but the weeks commencing May 27th, or June 3rd are the two preferred weeks. Shortly we will follow up with further details of hotels, and all other important information for Managers, Players and National Federations.
Stay tuned to this website and you will see the dates the moment they are known, and further specifics about the deals we can secure for local accomodation, transport, tourism and more. We cant wait to see you all in Spain, and include a new country on our world circuit. Viva Espana!
